Description
There’s not much of a precedent for music about settlers on Mars discovering a portal to hell, so it must have seemed like quite a unique task for Mick Gordon as he set out to compose original music for Doom. His intense, sprawling creation is the perfect complement to the soul-crushing first-person shooter, offering gripping heavy metal guitar riffs (“Rip & Tear”), relentlessly pounding drums (“Bfg Division”), and terrifying industrial synths (“Hellwalker”). The world evoked through these tracks is a horrifying projection—one that we should never hope to experience. Track Listing [0:44] I.
